Students outside the University of Salamanca

A LANGUAGE. A DESTINATION. A NEW PERSPECTIVE.

Think beyond your next Spanish lesson.

Studying in Spain begins long before your first university class. It begins with choosing what you want to study, understanding the requirements and developing the Spanish you will need to participate with confidence.

The International Access Program connects Spanish language preparation through the ELE USAL network with a pathway towards study at the University of Salamanca.

YOUR PATHWAY

Three stages. One carefully planned journey.

Before your pathway begins, your academic background and chosen course must be reviewed. This initial check helps establish which route may be suitable for you.

01

Build your Spanish to B2

Develop your language skills at one or more ELE USAL schools, following an agreed study plan towards B2.

Plan for a minimum of six months, according to the programme information supplied. Your starting level and study plan will determine your schedule.

02

Consolidate your B2

Strengthen your Spanish before university study through a final preparation stage at an ELE USAL school or Cursos Internacionales in Salamanca.

Plan for a 4–6 week preparation stage. Its location, format and requirements must be confirmed for your itinerary.

03

Progress to university study

Complete the applicable admission and enrolment steps for your chosen programme at the University of Salamanca.

Progression depends on meeting the relevant academic, language and administrative conditions, together with any course-specific restrictions.

CHOOSE YOUR DIRECTION

A pathway shaped around your academic goals.

Bachelor’s degrees

Explore the degrees available through the programme. Access conditions vary by degree and academic year; some options are subject to grades or limited places.

Official master’s degrees

Master’s programmes have their own admission criteria. Tell us which programme interests you so the relevant team can review your options before you commit.

University-specific qualifications

Other University of Salamanca qualifications, known as títulos propios, may have different entry requirements, formats and conditions. Each option needs an individual review.

Is admission guaranteed?

There is no blanket guarantee of admission to every degree. The programme distinguishes between degree options with guaranteed access under its conditions and those where access cannot be guaranteed. Ask us to confirm the status of your preferred degree for your intended academic year before making a decision.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Make an informed plan from the beginning.

Your academic background

For undergraduate routes, the requirements review includes completed pre-university studies and recognition of the relevant school qualification. The process applicable to your qualification must be checked individually.

Your language preparation

The programme aims at B2 Spanish. Your study plan should confirm how the required level will be achieved and certified, and whether your chosen course has additional requirements.

Your dates and budget

Request a personalised proposal covering the selected schools, course dates, language preparation and applicable fees. University tuition, accommodation, travel and other costs should be checked separately rather than assumed to be included.

Your admission documents

Accepted programme participants receive a programme admission letter signed by the University’s Vice-Rector for Teaching. University pre-registration or enrolment documentation is issued where applicable.

A programme admission letter is not a visa guarantee.

The University of Salamanca does not guarantee that a student will obtain a visa. Programme admission, university admission and visa decisions are separate matters. Confirm the applicable visa requirements with the relevant Spanish consular authority before making travel arrangements.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A clearer picture of your next steps.

Can I begin preparing from Indonesia?

Contact ELE USAL Indonesia to discuss your starting level and study goals. We can explore the language preparation options available through our school and the wider network. The programme itinerary, including locations, must be confirmed individually.

Do I need to speak Spanish already?

The catalogue includes preparation from beginner levels through B2. Tell us your current level so the team can review an appropriate route and confirm the duration for you.

Can I combine different ELE USAL schools?

The catalogue describes options to combine language study at different ELE USAL schools or at the University of Salamanca’s Cursos Internacionales. Locations, availability and the final preparation stage must be agreed in advance.

Can I choose any degree or master’s programme?

No. Available routes and admission conditions must be checked for the specific course and academic year. Master’s degrees and university-specific qualifications require an individual review with the relevant programme team.

Where can I read the programme catalogue?
